TOWN FIESTA IN PAMPANGA

PAMPANGA
RUINS OF THE BACOLOR CHURCH
Nuestra Senora del Rosario Church
This is one of the 2 old churches in Pampanga that was half buried when Mt. Pinatubo erupted in 1991. This church was built using the Baroque Architecture in the early 1800. The bell tower and the choir loft’s window are the only one’s left on the church. Now, the choir’s loft window is use as the church’s main entrance. A school was once built beside this magnificent church. Now, it was converted into a museum. You will see photographs of how the old church looks like and the aftermath of the devastating eruption. The locals are still trying their best to restore the church’s old glory.
