BAGUIO CITY

LOURDES GROTTO
Baguio City

One of the most visited tourist spots in Baguio especially during Holy Week. You have to climb 252 steps to reach the top of the grotto or you can drive a vehicle through a steep narrow paved road.
The Lourdes Grotto is located on the Western part of the City of Baguio. This is a replica of the Lourdes Grotto in the Southwestern part of France. It was constructed to commemorate the numerous visions of the Virgin Mary to Bernadette Soubirous, a 14 year old French in 1858.
