SUNKEN CEMETERY

SUNKEN CEMETERY
Catarman Camiguin
This cemetery is located in Barrio Bonbon Catarman in Camiguin. The town folks call it Sunken Cemetery because it is about 20feet underwater. According to our tour guide kuya Junjun, a volcanic eruption in 1871 caused the cemetery to sink. They have put up a huge cross to commemorate the place in 1982.
